WE WERE MARRIED ON APRIL 15TH AT THE PRINCESS WEDDING CHAPEL THE EXPIERENCE WAS GREAT EVERYTHING WENT OFF WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS. OUR CORDINATOR WAS WAS WONDERFUL.  THE MINISTER WAS GREAT AND HAD A GREAT SENSE OF HUMUR.  PICTURES TURNED OUT GREAT THE ONLY DOWNFALL WAS HOW MUCH THEY COST , SO ALL WERE PURCHASED WAS WHAT CAME WITH THE PACKAGE.  ALL IN ALL I WOULD RECOMAND THIS CHAPEL.

My husband let me make all the plans and reservations for our wedding. We were married on 03/28/08 and were very impressed with the chapel. The only part that I was not happy with was the photography company. The photographer was great but the part after the wedding when you look at all your photos and pick which ones you want for you package was the part that made me irritated. I don’t feel that the difference from getting the photos printed or on a disc was explained very well. It seemed to me that the photo company was more worried about the photo rights rather than making the bride happy. They told us that we could purchase all of our wedding photos for $850, are you kidding me? That is outrageous. In the end we opted for the photos included in the wedding package that we reserved. I later then found out that my package included 16 prints when on my disc I was only allowed 12 poses. I was told that was the difference from getting the photos on the disc instead of printed out. That also did not make me very happy. I was asked by the manager if I preferred to bring the disc back and have the prints instead. As I was asking my husband how he felt I was told that it would take a week to get them printed and they would have to send them to me in the mail. WHAT, I was not going to go home with my pictures? WOW, the more I talked to that company the more irritated I got. In the end I decided to keep the disc so that I could share them with my family when we got home.

After we were home for a few days I rec’d an email showing me all the photos again and that I had 30 days to decide if I wanted to order more photos. I did not feel that the email gave very good directions and so I ordered the pictures that I wanted and waited 10 days and still had not rec’d my order. I finally contacted the photo company and they explained to me that I did not order the pictures correctly and did not bother to contact me b/c they thought that I was still deciding what photos I wanted. I don’t know how they can justify that b/c i paid for my order online. They told me all I did was pay for the shipping but did add any photos to my cart. I don’t feel that that was very good customer service but the manager told me that it was my responsibility to get in contact with them if I had any questions. After the experience i have had with this photography company, I would not recommend anyone to use them b/c you are just going to get the run around and become very irritated. As for the chapel, it was beautiful and I could not have envisioned a better place to get married.

My fiance (now husband) and I are wedded on August 31st, 2007. We have two weddings–one simple legal wedding in Las Vegas and one formal symbolic wedding in Cancun in November. As most of our budget is allocated to the wedding in Cancun, we didn’t want to spend as much for the legal wedding in Las Vegas.

Here’s my review and grades:

The Minister: A+

The minister was FANTASTIC! He was not distracted by the series of my cell phone rings (oops, forgot to turn it off) which rang to the tune of U2’s stuck in the moment and Michael Buble’s tenderness every two minutes throughout the ceremony. The DVD video captured the cell phone tunes and my facial expressions of surpise and laughter. Guests who recognized the cell tunes knew it was mine while others thought it was the chapel’s faulty PA system.

The Chapel: A

I chose the chapel because of the (perception of) beauty of it over the others online and having read the reviews, knew it was located in a seedy hotel. Indeed, the chapel physically did not disappoint.

The Princess Arial Package: A

The package included the chapel fee, the wedding coordinator, traditional wedding music, brides rose bouquet, groom’s boutenierre, 12 4X5’s color photos, 2 5X7’s, 2 8X10s, video recording of the entire ceremony, and wedding licese scroll, all for $299. Limo is a-la-carte at $100 extra. Mandatory suggested for minister: $60 and $50 for limo ($50!! That’s very generous, I think.)

I had already ordered my own flowers from a florist for a different chapel we had booked in, but cancelled it when I found out the Princess Chapel included real flowers. Then upon further discussion with the wedding coordinator, I found out the flower bouquet was three roses so I asked the wedding coordinator if I could bring my own flowers. She said yes and that there would be no surcharge. I promptly reordered the original flowers that I had cancelled earlier.

The Wedding Coordinator: B

The mastermind behind it all, this woman was a bit firm. She reminded me of my academy days. Same attitude, different location she probably had a bad hair day.  On her side she did keep things together to make our wedding go off without a hitch, kootos to her.

Hubby wasn’t allowed to tip the limo driver and minister directly. Also, he saw her yelling at the limo driver.

The Photographer: A

The photographer was great–He already had it lined up for us,  he started at the beginning with the bride and maid-of-honor online. in the bride’s room and snapped pictures throughout the ceremony and after. By the end of the session, I knew I had some terrific memories.
We were watch the slide presentation of our pictures, we enjoyed the presentation, cringed at several shots of us looking deeply into each others eyes and various guests, and laughed. The pictures price was what I expected and it was well worth it.  I would recommend to save for this and they also gave us them on a DVD to watch with friends and family.

Once we were done  we gathered our things, CD and DVD video, directed to our limo and off to our reception.  We did it! We are one!

CONSLUSION:

Our objective was a princess wedding at a low price and this went beyond our expectations. Did we meet our objective with Princess Chapel? YES!
If we were to do it all over again with Princess Chapel? YES… and we are planning our renewal to be at the same place with the same minister.

Hi,

I wanted to let you know that our wedding was absolutely perfect! We got married on 7-7-7 so it was quite a busy day, but everything went as smooth as silk…We were knocked out by the beauty of the chapel, the way it was decorated, the minister, the photographer, the staff, everything. It could not have been more magical and special. All of our guests commented on the beauty of the event. Thank you for a perfect day.

I just wanted to say how happy and satisfied I am with all that you promised. From the moment I walked in, Karen was nothing but professional, leaving nothing to chance and making great suggestions. Although I do not rememeber all of the staff’s names, many of them were very helpful and considerate. I was the bride who needed to borrow a veil at the last moment and you came through for me. I was apprehensive thinking sure you are nice now but after I pay you…whoa. I have already had a few people ask me for the name of your estalishment. I am lucky to have won enough money to be able to buy the enitre photo collection which was so great how could anyone choose just 12. Again, I’ll be sure to praise your business and thank you again for a wonderful day.

Even though your wedding day is billed as your ’special day’, you often can’t help but feel stressed and overwhelmed by the whole affair. Following are some tips to help you reduce the stress on your wedding day:

1. Try and eat a healthy breakfast. A healthy, nutritious breakfast will provide a wonderful start to your wedding day, followed by several small meals throughout the rest of the day. Incorporate into your meals a light menu of unsweetened fresh/dried fruit, unsalted nuts, raw vegetables, low-fat yogurt, cottage cheese, and high-fiber bread. Unsweetened fruit juices also help to calm stressed-out nerves.

2. Make sure you have some fresh bottled water with you at all times. Taking a few sips throughout the day is better than guzzling down the whole bottle in 10 minutes, unless you want to spend a lot of time running to and from the restroom. Among a host of other things, water is necessary for the body to digest and absorb vitamins and minerals. Coffee, tea, and caffeinated sodas prompt the body to lose water, so they can work against you on your wedding day.

3. Laugh! Find every reason throughout the day to find things around you that help to make you laugh. Laughter has been found to help in decreasing stress hormones that can constrict blood vessels and suppress immune activity.

4. Be very well organized. The more time you spend organizing everything with everybody prior to the wedding (e.g., caterer, event coordinator, photographer, disk jockey/DJ, videographer, limo driver, etc.) the less stress you will have on your wedding day. Do not leave things to the last minute, and try to have everything finalized at least one week ahead of your wedding day.

5. If you are leaving for your honeymoon immediately after the reception, don’t forget to have all your luggage (along with important items like passports, airline tickets, travelers checks, etc.,) packed and placed in a safe location you have access to.

6. Get a good night’s sleep the night before your wedding. In order to get a good night’s sleep the night before, you should • avoid watching TV in bed; • minimize noise, light, and temperature extremes in your room;• avoid any naps during the day before;• not drink caffeine at least 4 hours prior to going to sleep;• avoid eating, exercise or alcohol prior to going to sleep.

7. Delegate as many tasks to as many people that are willing to help as possible. The less you have to do on your wedding day, the less stressful it will be for you.

8. Keep a healthy perspective on the day. Even though the wedding day is important, your future happiness does not depend on this single day alone.

9. Research has shown that music has a profound effect on your body and psyche. Music can be used to bring about a more positive state of mind, which can help prevent the stress response from wreaking havoc on the body. Make sure you work with your disc jockey/DJ to incorporate all the songs that mean the most to you in your ceremony and/or reception.

10. Understand that not everything on your wedding day is under your control. Names can get mispronounced, important participants can get lost or arrive late, nature can refuse to cooperate, vehicles can break down, and so on. Amidst all this, try and accept with grace and humility the fact that not everything is under your control.

11. Bonus tip! Above all, make sure you take the time to enjoy your special day, even though there will be a lot going on. Take in the elegant floral arrangements, the exquisite table settings, the smiling faces, the soothing music, and all the other special touches that have been put together just for you.
